You are invited to this special campaigns event where you'll hear from Fr Peter Hughes, an Irish Columban priest from County Mayo who has spent most of his life as a missionary based in Lima, Peru.

Fr Peter will be talking in Birmingham, Liverpool, Northampton, Southwark, Westminster and Ardunel & Brighton. He will be enlightening us on the Church’s response to Laudato Si' and teaching us more about the Church’s work in Latin America.

Who is Fr Peter?

As well as his work in some of the most desperately impoverished communities in Lima, Peter is an advisor to the Instituto Bartolome de las Casas and CELAM, the collegial council of Latin American bishops designed to promote pastoral leadership, initiatives and inspiration for the 22 bishops conferences of Latin America and the Caribbean.

At this event, you will also have the opportunity to:

  • hear about CAFOD’s new Power to be campaign, which calls on the World Bank to support renewable energy, so that every child can achieve their God-given potential.
  • get inspired and equipped for action.
  • find new campaign and prayer resources for all ages to share in your parish.

Please register to attend this event.

Please arrive for this Laudato Si’ event with CAFOD volunteers for a start time of 10:30am- 3:00pm
