Run for those in need this Christmas

14 November 2013

With one month to go until the Annual CAFOD Nativity run, there is still a lot of time for you to get involved and make a difference to those in desperate need.

In the week that we have launched our Typhoon Haiyan appeal to respond to the worst hit areas of the Philippines, it’s uplifting to know that we already have over 100 runners, walkers and toddlers signed up to take part in our festive fun run.

However we would still love so many more people to join us as we take over Clapham Common on 14 December. Our annual run is a great way to share the love and joy of the Nativity with family and friends, whilst making a real difference to the lives of our brothers and sisters across the world.

This year you can either choose to take part in a 5k or 10k route, and there is also the new 'Nativity toddle' a 400m journey for the very little ones.

Registration is just £10 for adults, £5 for teens and free for under 12s. Even better, when you register you will receive a fundraising welcome pack and email, on the day practical information, a crown template for your outfit and posters to publicise your run in your area.

The CAFOD events team will be on hand to support you with any advice or resources you may need for your fundraising.

Most of all, you will know that the money you raise will be going to support our work and those who need it most overseas.

To register, please follow our link to our Nativity Run webpage where you can sign up. If you have any more questions about the run or about CAFODs work, please feel free to email the events team at
