The volunteer opportunity
CAFOD’s Campaigns team is looking for someone to help get as many people as possible involved in our next week of action on climate change, coming up 1- 9 July 2017. The volunteer would be working to help encourage and support people to organise local events during the week, including inviting their local MP to join in.
The role will involve making phone calls to people who have signed up to organise events. The volunteer would also follow up with each organiser to make sure they have all of the events and support needed to make their event a brilliant one.
In return you will gain valuable experience with CAFOD’s campaigns team and an understanding of how to create political change. You will also gain experience of working with databases.
- Friendly and helpful manner on the phone
- Clear communication, both written and spoken.
- Competent IT skills including using Microsoft Word, Excel, and online.
