Read about our Lent 2016 Appeal which was match funded by the UK government.

Under the UKAid Match scheme, CAFOD received approximately £9.2m unrestricted funding from the Department for International Development (DFID) from April 2012 to March 2016, matching public contributions raised from our 2012 Lent fundraising appeal in 2012. The agreement committed CAFOD to delivering results relating to water, sanitation and hygiene promotion (WASH), water resource management (WRM), women’s empowerment and gender mainstreaming and governance and accountability. The mid-term review assessed our progress and performance by the mid-point of the funding agreement in implementing the water and gender components; it was completed in October 2014.
