Become a campaign volunteer
Are you keen to take on big challenges like climate change and bringing renewable energy to those who need it most? Want to speak out in solidarity with the world's poorest communities?
Volunteer with us to help bring CAFOD's campaigns to life in your parish!
I campaign as a tangible way of expressing my faith. Our parish priest is supportive and sees action just as important as fundraising.
Jim Quinn, Birmingham
What is involved
As a campaign volunteer you will help to get others in your parish community involved with CAFOD's campaigns. Working with your priest and other volunteers in the parish, you could help by:
- publicising CAFOD's campaigns by putting up posters, adding announcements to your parish newsletter, or by speaking at Masses about our campaigns;
- organising a petition signing, postcard action, or another campaign event after Masses;
- working with other groups, such as your parish CAFOD or Justice and Peace group to encourage others to act.
- sharing the news about what campaigning is doing with others in your community.
Skills, training and support
As you will be motivating others in your community, proactivity and good communication skills are desirable for this role. CAFOD will keep you informed about all of the latest campaign news and resources through regular email updates. You will also be invited to upcoming events for training, a chance to hear the latest news and to meet other volunteers from around England and Wales.
