Faith is a highly political followers of God we too must be politically engaged...If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor."

Archbishop Desmond Tutu

Why is the world so unequal? Why do so many people live in poverty? How can the changes we're calling for make a real difference? What does our faith teach about responding to poverty and injustice?

Campaigning is not a quick fix. Think how many years it took to bring down apartheid, win women the right to vote, or abolish transatlantic slavery. Yet these victories were won.

Challenge the status quo and you find deep-rooted problems that take years to change. That's why all our campaigns are based on in-depth research: we listen to people living in poverty, study the political context and work out possible solutions.
