“Young people demand change. They wonder how anyone can claim to be building a better future without thinking of the environmental crisis and the sufferings of the excluded.”

Pope Francis, Laudato Si’ 13

On June 26, CAFOD is joining together with over 100 like-minded organisations to ask the government to protect the earth, our common home, and we would love for you to join us. We are facing a crisis, but we are also offered an opportunity to stand up for our brothers and sisters affected by climate change. We will challenge the government to commit to a more ambitious target of reducing UK emissions to Net Zero.

The lobby offers an opportunity for students to learn more about climate change, and have their voice heard by their MP and other Parliamentary figures.

We want to support Catholic schools to participate in the lobby, offering the first 20 students from each school discounted travel to London on diocesan coaches. This discount is limited, so book soon to avoid disappointment.

You can still register to attend the lobby, but unfortunately the schools space at Old Paradise Gardens has reached full capacity, and will only be available to schools who have already registered. Please contact youth@cafod.org.uk if you want to check if you are on the list for Old Paradise Gardens.
