Sing a Carol for CAFOD!
This Advent, sing Silent Night or your favourite carol, record it for CAFOD and share on social media.
Connect with fellow supporters and check out other videos and singers on CAFOD's Community Facebook group
What is your favourite carol? Help make the future ‘calm and bright’ for families like Nomita’s this Advent.
Nomita lives on the frontline of the climate crisis in southwest Bangladesh; a country suffering the severe affects of climate change. With life-altering cyclones and devastating floods, it is hard for communities like Nomita's to live in a home that is safe and provides for the needs of a family. But together, we can make a difference!
What to do
1. Get people involved and sing!
Sing Silent Night or another favourite carol with your parish, school, choir, family or try a solo. For inspiration, use our Carol Sheet and sing your heart out!
You can sing along to instruments or CAFOD's backing track.
Join in with Carols for CAFOD this festive season!
2. Video your Christmas carol and share your film!
Record your Christmas carol on your mobile or other suitable device and share your video with #CAFODcarols and @CAFOD to join your voice to groups singing across England and Wales and communities singing overseas.
Join in online by posting your video to CAFOD's Community Facebook group page
3. Support our Advent appeal
By carol singing online, you can invite friends to give to our Advent appeal, giving a life changing gift this Christmas.
You can also be a part of CAFOD's Silent Night video
We are hoping to put together a selection of supporter videos into one Silent Night 'showcase' film!
If you would like your video to be included, please download our backing track of Silent Night to make it easier for everyone to join in and sing in the same musical key and at the same speed!
Key points to follow:
