Every Second Counts
The need for humanitarian help and protection has reached an all-time high. According to the UN, 1 in 33 people around the world is caught up in a crisis. Emergencies are becoming more severe, more frequent and more protracted. As always, it is the poorest and most vulnerable who are the worst affected.
We are part of a global aid network
CAFOD is part of Caritas, the global network of the Catholic Church, one of the largest aid networks in the world. Through these church networks, we can access some of the most remote communities and people in greatest need before, during and after an emergency.
Our brothers and sisters need your help, now
By supporting CAFOD’s £5 million appeal – Every Second Counts – you can help us to respond quickly. Your commitment will help people who are devastated by emergencies, some of which never make the news. Our experts not only help communities to survive the immediate shocks but also equip them to be better prepared for the future.
Become a CAFOD humanitarian champion today
There has never been a greater need for us to put our faith into action. Right now, we are looking for 200 humanitarian champions to make significant gifts to develop our emergencies programme. Will you be one of them?
