Revive your prayer life with gospel reflections
16 October 2017
Prayer is powerful. It brings us closer to God and our sisters and brothers living in poverty.
That’s why we’re happy to offer you weekly email reflections on the Sunday gospel.
Every Friday we send a reflection rooted in global justice, inspiring prayers, and ways to put your faith into action.
Gospel reflections for you
Once you’ve signed up, here are four ways you can make the most of our weekly reflections...
On your own
Take time to reflect on the gospel on a Friday morning. Each reflection is based on the Sunday Bible readings, so you can reflect on the words over the weekend before Mass.
In your parish
Encourage friends in your parish to reflect on global justice. You could print out the reflections and put them on your church noticeboard. Or use them to guide prayers in your community. You could even spread the word by including a few words in your parish newsletter.
CAFOD reflections are a great way to inspire young people to reflect on the gospel.
If you are a teacher or a chaplain, why not print out the reflection on brightly-coloured paper and stick in on your noticeboard?
You could also use them as the basis of your Friday morning assembly or collective worship. Light a candle and ask a student to read out the reflection. Project the reflection on a screen, and invite everyone to read the prayer aloud at the end.
