As part of Caritas, CAFOD has an amazing global reach. As a volunteer you will help us to reach out to people living in hard-to-reach places, in war zones and those who are discriminated against.

Dominic from the Westminster diocese said, ‘volunteering for CAFOD is a way for me to give back for all God has given me.’

Have fun

Gwendolyn from the Northampton diocese has been a volunteer for four years now and has got involved in everything from cake sales to campaigning on the refugee crisis.

‘I’ve really enjoyed it as a young person - getting involved, spreading the word, being involved in these projects and seeing how they work,’ says Gwendolyn.

Learn new skills

Want to become a better public speaker? Or get your office skills tip-top? Then CAFOD is the place for you.

‘Volunteering with CAFOD is a great way to learn new skills and work as part of a small team as well as having the creativity and freedom to think of new ideas to help those who need it the most,’ says Luke, from the Leeds diocese.

Make new friends in your community

When you join us you are becoming part an amazing team of over 6,200 volunteers across England and Wales. You’ll also be supported by our CAFOD team in your diocese.

‘We’re so well supported by the CAFOD team and we get great materials,' says Annie, an education volunteer in the Westminster diocese.

Change the world

When we unite and make a stand for what we believe in, we can achieve remarkable things. With your support, our experts can reach to the ends of the earth.

'I think that being a voice and face of CAFOD - a voice for the developing world - is a very important thing to do, and I love it!’ says Maureen, an office volunteer in the Westminster diocese.
