Advent is a time of hope but many of our brothers and sisters across the world are facing troubles this winter.

How can you get informed about the refugee crisis and help those in crisis this Christmas?

1) Join our talk on the Syria crisis

Learn about the plight of refugees through our lunchtime webinar on Tuesday, 12 December at 1pm. Alan Thomlinson, CAFOD's Emergency Programme manager for Syria, will present on the refugee crisis and CAFOD's response.

2) Buy a refugee World Gift

Rajida is among 500,000 people who have fled into Bangladesh to escape violence in Myanmar. She had to walk to the border while heavily pregnant and gave birth to her daughter under plastic sheeting in the middle of a rice paddy. Rajida's daughter was healthy, but she and many others are still in need of basic essentials.

Give shelter, food and water to mums like Rajida - choose an emergency World Gift this Christmas.

3) Pray for our sisters and brothers

This Advent, join us in praying for people on the move. Follow daily reflections and stories in the Advent calendar.
