Give it up: What should I give up for Lent?

8 February 2018

Giving up something you really, really enjoy is quite difficult. Catholics traditionally take part in Lent in the build up to Easter to practise self-denial.

What would you struggle to live without? Is it your car? Is it chocolate in the afternoon?

If you can't decide what to give up, or perhaps take up, we can help. Take our Lenten personality quiz to find out what you should give up for Lent.

Work out how much money you save during Lent and donate the sum to our Lent Appeal.

Thank you to everyone who has donated to the Lent Appeal. Your gifts will change lives around the world. And if you donated between 13 February and 12 May, the UK Government will double your donation!

If you raised money in your parish or school over Lent and still need to pay in the proceeds, you can still have your collection matched.
