Let us bring gifts
A child is born,
In poverty,
In a busy city,
On the edge of society,
Amongst strangers,
Far from home,
in Syria, South Sudan,
in Brazil.
New parents
dream, dreams
of schools,
of medicines,
of food,
of a better future.
Let us bring gifts
of compassion, solidarity and justice.
