Here are the current priorities for Parish Volunteers. We encourage you to use the resources provided to hold these activities within your parish this month.
Thank you for making Family Fast Day a success
Thank you for all your parish has done for our Lent Family Fast Day appeal. Donations from your parish will be doubled by the UK Government. If we raise £5 million we can do some amazing things to combat malnutrition in Zimbabwe & Zambia.
Funds raised during this period need to be sent to CAFOD by 1 July 2018. Please encourage your parish to send Family Fast Day monies in as soon as possible.
National Eucharistic Congress: 7 - 9 September
The bishops of England and Wales will hold a National Eucharistic Congress in Liverpool from 7-9 September, called Adoremus. If you will be attending as one of your parish’s representatives, do let your Community Participation Coordinator know.
Share the Journey: We need your miles!
We’re seeing walks starting to happen all over the country: from the north, with Chester University’s CathSoc clocking up 81 miles, to the south, with St Mary’s Moorfields parish in London clocking up 29 miles in 15 minutes.
Get inspired here to organise your walk – every mile walked counts towards our target of 24,900 miles.
Could you plan a walk in your parish between April and June, leading up to a global week of action from 16-24 June?
Resources & Learning space is now live.
We have created an online portal for you to easily find resources, take part in online learning modules and be informed about upcoming events.
