Today, the disciples witness Jesus, their friend, in glory, accompanied by Moses and Elijah. They hardly know what to do. Perhaps we should stay here, Peter suggests, and build shelters.
But Jesus takes them back down to mountain and back to his work of seeking out the people who need his presence, love and healing.
While we can cherish moments when we’ve felt near to God, we too are called to actively live out God’s love on the ground.
