1. Sign up and order your event pack
Your event pack includes a fundraising guide, stickers for your pupils and posters for your school. But you can order extra online!
2. Watch the Big Lent Walk staff briefing video
Here is a short video for those considering taking part and to help all staff understand the benefits of taking part and how this supports the Catholic life and mission of your school.
Please share this with staff and colleagues as part of your staff meeting or twilight CPD.
3. Link up with your finance team
Using JustGiving to fundraise is so easy! Share this short explainer video about JustGiving with your school finance team.
Three reasons to fundraise with JustGiving in your school:
There’s no school admin to do if you use JustGiving to fundraise.
JustGiving is perfect if you’re a cashless school.
Schools who used JustGiving to fundraise in 2025 raised more money!

4. Download our event resources
We have many resources to support parents, staff and students to prepare for the walk, from press releases and consent form letters, to banners, videos and display board items.
5. Prepare your students
Our global learning resources including a video and an assembly help children and young people understand about a remarkable floating garden project in Bangladesh. Young people will be learn how fundraising puts Catholic Social Teaching into action as we walk in solidarity with our brothers and sisters around the world.
