Love in action: your generosity lights the way

As the darker nights draw in and we prepare our hearts for the season of Advent, families around the world are facing cold, uncertainty and crisis.

There are three ways you can help today: from giving hope through our Advent Appeal, to sending a World Gift that changes lives, to standing with families affected by conflict in the Middle East.

Scroll down to see how your kindness can shine this November.

Mariam - Advent 2025

Don't wait this winter

The violence in the Middle East has thrown lives into chaos. Many refugees – like Mariam, a 72-year-old Palestinian mother living in Lebanon - flee conflict only to find themselves living in camps with little protection from the elements. “To stay warm here, you need a river of fuel” says Mariam. This winter, you can help mums like Mariam keep safe and warm.

Share the gift of warmth

This winter, when you’re buying Christmas gifts for your loved ones, you can help our refugee neighbours like Laila. Forced to flee her home in Palestine, Laila now lives in Lebanon, where cold nights make survival a daily challenge.

A virtual winter warmth World Gift is a thoughtful Christmas gift that provides blankets, clothing and fuel to keep vulnerable families safe and warm, a simple act of love that transforms lives.

Stand with families in the Middle East

In the Holy Land and across the Middle East, countless families are facing conflict, displacement and loss. Through our Middle East Humanitarian Appeal, CAFOD is working with trusted local partners to provide food, clean water and medical care to those whose lives have been torn apart by violence.

Let’s remember that every act of love reflects Christ’s presence among us. Your giving this November is more than a donation: it’s a declaration of faith, a gesture of solidarity and a sign of hope.

Let us answer Christ’s call: “I have loved you.”

Together, let’s share that love with the world.
