We need your voice!
On Wednesday 9 July, thousands of people will be joining a mass lobby co-organised by our friends from The Climate Coalition.
A mass lobby is an event where lots of people meet with their MPs on the same day to have powerful conversations about issues we care about.
Supporters of more than 100 organisations from across the UK will come to Westminster that day to ask our MPs to take action on climate, debt and nature.
In this Jubilee year, it’s vital that MPs also hear from people of faith. So please come along and promote this mass lobby in your local community and parish.
If you are one of the thousands of CAFOD supporters who have joined in with previous mass lobbies, you will know how powerful these moments are and about the uniquely inspirational atmosphere generated on the day.
For those who haven’t attended a mass lobby before, this day will be a unique opportunity to join the Church’s global debt campaign and make our call for the cancellation of the debts of countries hit hardest by the climate crisis, loud and clear.
Over 93 per cent of the world’s most climate-vulnerable countries also face a debt crisis
Global South countries are spending five times more on foreign debt repayments than they are on addressing the climate emergency.
This 9 July will also be a day to connect to each other: a chance to meet other CAFOD supporters face to face, to learn more about other faith groups, share our hopes and concerns for this Jubilee year, and attend Mass together at Westminster Cathedral.
While we continue to mourn for Pope Francis, let us remind ourselves of his words for this Jubilee year 2025: “One of the actions that characterises jubilees is the forgiving of debts.”

Join us at the mass lobby
We need your voice on Wednesday 9 July. Will you join us in a mass lobby along with thousands of people from across the country?
After you register we will send more detailed information closer to the date. If you live a long way from London, we are working to facilitate transport arrangements in some areas to ensure that as many people as possible can attend this event.
