Israel-Hezbollah conflict: CAFOD's partners are helping families now

25 September 2024

In the last few days, the conflict between Hezbollah and Israel has got much worse.

In Lebanon, more than 500 people have already been killed and tens of thousands have left their homes to seek safety further north. The panic caused by airstrikes has meant that roads are blocked by heavy traffic and people have been forced to sleep in their cars, afraid for their families.

Your donation today to our Emergency Response Fund can get to work straight away, supporting our trusted local experts based in Lebanon.

Our partners are helping these families right now as they arrive in safer areas. Your donations will help with:

  • emergency healthcare

  • food packages

  • safe shelter

  • cash to buy fuel, blankets and other essentials.

Your support will allow this urgent practical help to be given to families in Lebanon, other crisis-hit areas in the Middle East, and can help us to respond quickly to emergencies worldwide.
