CAFOD campaigners demand climate justice
World leaders are meeting in Brazil in November at the global climate talks, COP30. The UN climate negotiations will be one of the most crucial climate summits in recent years.
Ten years on from the Paris Agreement, nations must resubmit their climate plans.
The summit will be in the heart of the Amazon, home of indigenous communities and an ecosystem which is essential to planetary stability.
To ensure that leaders attending COP30 in Brazil hear the people’s urgent demands for climate action loud and clear, on Saturday 15 November climate events and marches will be taking place around the world. In the UK it is vital that as people of faith we make our voices heard too.
Will you join us in Manchester for the Global Day of Action?
We are inviting CAFOD supporters to join us in Manchester on Saturday 15 November 2025:
12pm: Meet at St Augustine's Church, Grosvenor Square, All Saints, Manchester M15 6BW to hear from Bishop John Arnold and CAFOD's partners live from Brazil, pray for the climate and enjoy some hot chocolate.
1.30pm Assemble in All Saints Park for a march to central Manchester, ending with a COP30 rally. For any questions email campaigns@cafod.org.uk and please register your interest below.
Of course you can just attend part of this day if you prefer, rather than all of it.
Due to capacity CAFOD will only a have presence in Manchester, but more COP mobilisations will be happening across the country.

Take action for COP30
In this Jubilee year, the UK must play a key role in pushing rich countries to unlock new sources of public finance for climate action - especially for those countries that are suffering a debt crisis too.
