Written evidence submitted to the International Development Committee's Philosophy of Aid inquiry
September 2021
Written evidence submitted to the International Development Committee's Philosophy of Aid inquiry by CAFOD, the official aid agency for the Catholic Church in England and Wales.
Members of Parliament of the International Development Committee embarked on a wide-ranging inquiry into some of the big, sometimes philosophical questions around the purpose of foreign aid. The work is officially called the Sub-inquiry into the philosophy of aid and comes under the Committee’s wider, ‘umbrella inquiry’ into the Philosophy and culture of aid.
The committee welcomed submissions that address one, some or all of the following terms of reference:
Fundamentals of aid
Donor countries
International relations
CAFOD submits written evidence to parliamentary inquiries and consultations to support our global policy and research work.
