We began working in Africa in the 1970s – ever since then, we've been standing together with local experts from diverse cultures helping their communities to thrive in a wide range of environments across the continent.

We're supporting people in countries across Asia finding long-term solutions to poverty, responding to emergencies made worse by the climate crisis, and standing up for their rights and the rights of others.
Our very first overseas project was in the Caribbean island of Dominica in 1962. Today, our work across Latin America and the Caribbean is underpinned by the Latin American Church's resolve to speak out for justice and peace.
The Middle East, home to faith traditions embraced by over half the world's population, has been deeply impacted by ongoing and escalating conflicts. In the face of this, we support people of all ethnicities and faiths working to protect human rights and build peaceful communities across the region.
Our network of volunteer centres works with the Catholic community in England and Wales to raise funds and awareness of global poverty and injustice through parishes, schools and communities.
