In September 2023, Storm Daniel brought powerful winds and heavy rain to the north-east of Libya. This caused devastating floods across the region, with some areas seeing flood waters reach up to three metres deep.
The flood water swept away houses and vehicles, leaving many without a roof over their head. Over 5,000 people lost their lives and thousands more needed urgent humanitarian assistance.
Thanks to your generous support, we have been able to help thousands of people with their mental and physical health, ensuring that they had access not only to food and clean drinking water, but also to psychosocial support.
