Volunteer with CAFOD and help to bring our work to life in your community.
Volunteers pray for those who do not have enough to eat at a special Potato Day liturgy in North Wales.
As a prayer writer you will help inspire Catholic communities across England and Wales to reflect and pray on the root causes of poverty and injustice, and to act in in a way so that all might live life in all its fullness.
Drawing inspiration from Scripture, Catholic Social Teaching, and the stories of CAFOD’s partners throughout the world, you will draft prayers and reflections for parishes, Catechetical groups, schools, youth groups, and more. You can find examples of prayers written by volunteers in CAFOD’s prayer and resource library.
Prior experience in prayer writing is not essential, however this role does require good written English skills.
