Uganda, Evelyn Dennis Daniel, 19

Evelyn, Dennis and Daniel from Caritas Moroto installing a solar water pump. Caritas Moroto are one of our partners in Karamoja, Uganda – a region that suffers from extreme drought.

Are you considering a contribution of £5,000 or more?

Regardless of whether you are an experienced philanthropist or if this is your first big gift, we know how important it is to make the right decision for your donation. From climactic shocks to deforestation, from scarcity of clean water to exploitative working conditions… the list of problems is long, and the funds are limited.

At CAFOD, we work in partnership with Church and grassroots organisations. Our network of experts are trained to listen to communities and help them maximise their efforts. This way, we can work together, driven by a shared strategy, to tackle the root causes of poverty and climate change

You could help communities achieve great things

Partnership isn’t a new model for us. Since CAFOD’s inception in 1962, our local partners have received much more than just funding. Advice, technical support, the heart-felt encouragement of a community in England and Wales who share their goals - these are some of the elements that back a network with the potential to change lives.

Our development and humanitarian programmes are designed following the principles of Catholic Social Teaching. We work for justice, and we don’t compete with other NGOs or duplicate their work.
