Every Second Counts (ESC) Event Reflections

Every Second Counts Major Donor event with Julie Etchingham

In June, we had the privilege of holding a special event at the Ukrainian Cathedral in London to highlight Every Second Counts—CAFOD’s emergency response initiative.

Julie Etchingham, journalist, broadcaster and CAFOD Ambassador, chaired a compelling conversation exploring how CAFOD stands with communities before, during and after a crisis. We were honoured to hear from Ibrahim Njuguna, CAFOD’s Head of Humanitarian; Diana Trimino, CAFOD’s Head of Latin America; and Jayne Crow, Head of Programmes at the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC).

A heartfelt thank you to our speakers, everyone who attended, and the Ukrainian Cathedral team for hosting such a wonderful evening.

“Thank you very much for the evening for every second counts yesterday. It was so informative and interesting - and very well organised.

"It does help to inspire us even more to work to continually promote CAFOD within and indeed outside of the parish. It was so good to have a chance to talk to the amazing workforce that you have. We are in awe. Thank you for the invitation and the opportunity.”
