Climate reflections

Inspired by Church teaching and in the light of Pope Francis encyclical, Laudato Si', we reflect on our responsibility to care for the world that God has made.

Our faith calls us to care for creation as a gift of God's love.

CAFOD is speaking out about climate change because it is the single biggest threat to reducing poverty that exists today. Whether it's floods destroying livelihoods or unpredictable rains leaving millions hungry.

These cards can be used either for quiet personal reflection or a group discussion. They aim to help us explore Church teaching on our relationship with creation and come to a deeper understanding of what concern for the environment has to do with our faith.

Use our climate reflection postcards to reflect on the following themes:

1. Creation
2. Faith and climate change
3. The common good
4. Who is my neighbour?
5. The earth as neighbour
6. Christ as Redeemer of all the earth

Doctor Ann Marie Mealey: Creation

Bishop Marcelo Sorondo: Faith and climate change

Celia Deane-Drummond: The common good

Father Augusto Zampini Davies: Who is my neighbour?

Father Edwin Gariguez: The earth as neighbour

Doctor Karen Kilby: Christ as Redeemer of all the earth
