Campaigners holding an inflatable Earth

CAFOD campaigner, Charlie, joins other climate campaigners at COP25 in Madrid on calling for ambition and leadership from world leaders.

Are you keen to take on big challenges like climate change and bringing renewable energy to those who need it most?  Want to speak out in solidarity with the world's poorest communities?

Volunteer with us to help bring CAFOD's campaigns to life in your parish!

I campaign as a tangible way of expressing my faith.  Our parish priest is supportive and sees action just as important as fundraising.

Jim Quinn, Birmingham

How does this help us?

The main role of a Campaign Volunteer is to inspire passion about CAFOD’s efforts in the hearts of parishioners across the UK.  Without local participation, we are not able to make a global impact.

What skills do I need?

  • An interest in campaigning and current events and a passion for CAFOD’s mission
  • A creative and flexible attitude
  • An ability to inspire and work with others

What will I gain?

  • You will have the opportunity to meet others with similar passions
  • You will be able to develop your communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • You will make an important contribution to necessary change

Training and Support

  • A CAFOD staff member will keep you informed about latest campaign news
  • Training, briefing meetings and other opportunities to network and work with other local campaigners
  • Reimbursement of travel and other reasonable expenses
