Loving God,
hear the cries of your people
who have seen all washed away before them
in these devastating floods.
Lead us to play our part,
sharing what we can
in this moment of need.
Console the broken-hearted
and guide us all to work together
to strengthen and support each other
so that even in this moment of destruction
your hope may shine through.
