God of stillness, the voice of calm
in the tempest that surrounds us,
be with your people now
as they emerge from this storm.
Walk alongside them in each one of us
as we seek to bring comfort to the distressed,
shelter to the homeless,
and share the strength to carry on.
In the face of chaos and destruction,
guide us to act with compassion
and let us never lose heart,
for your hope lasts forever.
