One of the greatest obstacles to building peace in the Holy Land is the ongoing expansion of illegal Israeli settlements on occupied Palestinian land, which displace Palestinian families and are a source of suffering, violence and fear.
In 2025, CAFOD was one of over 80 organisations to endorse a report looking into how foreign states and corporations, through ongoing trade with illegal settlements, directly enable the humanitarian crisis driven by Israel’s prolonged occupation.
