When we embark upon a pilgrimage, we begin a journey of faith that imitates the journey of our own Christian life. The journey is not always easy or straight, but by walking towards our final destination with resilience and determination, we are encouraged to keep going towards our ultimate destination.
Wherever and whenever you embark upon a pilgrimage, you can walk in solidarity with our sisters and brothers around the world who are fighting poverty, by asking friends and family to sponsor you.
The Pilgrimage of Hope is a national walking pilgrimage. Four ways beginning in London, Leeds, Cardiff and Norwich will converge at the Cathedral of St Barnabas in Nottingham on 14th September, marking England and Wales with the sign of the cross.
