Every Second Counts Annual Report 2024-25
Annual Report for Every Second Counts showing the impact of donations made in the last year.
In our Every Second Counts Annual Report we share examples of the work achieved through your donations over the last year.
Since writing this report we have seen the hopeful news of a ceasefire in Gaza. In October the Secretary General of CAFOD's partner organisation, Caritas Jerusalem, visited the UK and met with our staff and a handful of Every Second Counts donors.
It was an incredible meeting and very powerful to hear first hand how the fighting has impacted not only the lives of the communities but also him and his family personally. He recorded a short message for us while he was here sharing about how if we want to know about the meaning of resilience, we only need to look to the people of Gaza.

Thank you for reaching out to communities through Every Second Counts. Together we are ensuring that our partners and the communities we work alongside are able to prepare for, survive during, and rebuild after a crisis.
In 2025, over 305 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance due to conflict, disaster and climate shocks. That’s 1 in 27 people worldwide, the highest number in modern history.
Your generous support to Every Second Counts this past year has meant that we have been able to support 41 projects in 19 countries.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
Thanks to you, communities have been given the tools they need survive, to build back stronger and be prepared for future crises.
We cannot thank you enough for your kindness. However we still need your help. Today we are faced with the ongoing effects of climate change alongside conflict and natural disaster. These multi-layered crises are complex and need your support now to help save lives.
