Whilst the news headlines keep changing, families in the Middle East continue to face unimaginable hardship.
In Lebanon, more than a million people have fled their homes, with thousands killed or injured since strikes began hitting the country in March. Thanks to the steadfast support of the Catholic community, we have already sent £467,210 to our trusted partners, including Caritas Lebanon, who are providing food, blankets, mattresses, safe water and shelter to families in crisis.
As the violence continues, our partners remain determined to continue providing practical help to our neighbours for as long as they need it. One of our partners working in Lebanon told us: “We have a humanitarian commitment that we cannot abandon. We are constantly motivated to work and support people who have lost their families and homes.”
